Hello everybody,

my name is Lars and I'm 25 years old.
Until October 2004 I was living in the beautiful city of Bielefeld, which is located in the middle of Germany, between Dortmund and Hanover, right in the Teutoburger Wald in the region East Westphalia.

Since 2004 I'm living in Dortmund.
So please don't hesitate to ask me any questions about the life in Dortmund, the university and so on.

Coming to my educational background.
In October 2004 I started to study Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Dortmund.
But after 4 terms I found out, that Engineering and the "big" university was not the right for me and I quitted.
In March 2007 I started studying Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund, where I got my bachelor-degree this September.
The course specialisations I choose were Human Resource Management and Supply Chain Management.
My thesis dealt with the navigation. More precisely with the economic advantages of new technologies and pragmatic reactions of shipping companies during the present economic crises.

And now, I'm sitting next to you and study EuroMPM.
What I really like about this course is the international aspect. To my mind, it's very important to gain experiences in other countries than your native one.

Coming to my skills.
Regarding to my IT skills, I have to say that I'm an experienced Microsoft Office user. But there are still a few things to improve.
Going on with the language skills.
I'm speaking German, English and French (un petit peux...).
Describing my character / softskills...
I would say that I'm an absolute team player and like to work in groups.
Also I'm reliable and able to get into those things I like.
Furthermore I'm very straight forward towards people and honest to say what I like or dislike about any matter.
If I have a point of view about an aspect and are convinced, I stand by this point of view. Sometimes people might think that this is stubborn. And yes, it is. But you will always have the chance to convince me with your point of view. No matter.

Coming to what I'm doing apart from university.
First of all: I like spending time with my friends. Doesn't matter what we are doing, it's always a good time and I won't miss it.
In addition I like doing sports. Football, jogging, tennis and alpine skiing are my favourites.
And of cause I do like listen to music and reading a book from time to time.
As I mentioned football, I have to admit that this is an important part of my life.
In 1990 I saw the first game of DSC Arminia Bielefeld, the club of my hometown.
Since them I'm a loyal supporter, following the games at home and quite often away.
